At Transform386, many of our staff members share a common background: service to our country. Eight members of our team are U.S. veterans who bring that same sense of dedication and purpose to their work in disaster recovery. Their service spans the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force. Two of our staff continue to serve part-time, one in the National Guard and one in the Navy Reserves, bringing ongoing perspective to their work.
Their experience in the military has shaped how they approach their careers today. The same skills that once helped them complete missions around the world now drive their efforts to support residents here at home. Whether helping families recover, assisting with housing needs, or improving crucial infrastructure, their focus is on rebuilding stronger, more resilient communities.
Transform386 also provides direct support to veterans. Leo Laliberte, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and his wife Deborah experienced severe flooding and nearly lost their home during Hurricane Ian. Through Transform386, they received assistance to rebuild and return to a safe, permanent home in Volusia County. Their story reflects the heart of our program: helping residents recover and rebuild stronger, no matter their background or circumstances. Learn more about the Laliberte's here.
We are proud to serve those who have served us. If you are a veteran affected by a recent hurricane in Volusia County, contact Transform386 to learn if you qualify for assistance. Our team can also connect you with other local and state programs that specialize in veteran support and recovery resources.
